Yeah, 4 drives... now I just need to wait for a 1TB 2.5"X9.5mm HDD. 4 drives. Is that overkill? :)

And here is the samsung mini card that I think is what the Dell online stores will be offereing eventually.

the part numbers matched the photos of the FCM in this link

    Sounds awesome.

On the flipside, your 9 cell battery just became a glorified UPS. ;)

Dezoris, am I understanding correctly that you have an M6500 RGBLED display? is it Matte or Glossy? My preference is for a RGBLED display in matte, but I don't know if the non e2e comes that way. I originally had a M6500 covet on order but canceled it today after seeing that USB 3.0 is soon to be released. I'm thinking I may get the non-covet version to get a matte RGB display. I wonder if there's any difference in build quality between the covet screen with edge-to-edge display and the ones without.

What's your experience been like between the two (non-covet 6500 RGB matte vs covet e2e) in terms of how they hold up over time with:
    * how quickly they get dirty/show fingerprints
    * how easily they clean
    * how they hold up against scratches
    * which has better overall picture in indirect (non-glare) or dark lighting conditions?

    Thanks!

After all that work, I hope you backed up your system. :D I've been using Acronis 2010 with no issues.

I attached a picture of the edge2edge screen.
This is not a matte display as you can see, basically Dell calls it a bezel-less design because there is a single piece of glass across it.

    1. Its very difficult to keep clean as the glass extend to the hinges by the camera so every time you open the lid you get finger prints on the class.

    2. Its highly highly reflective.

    3. Glass is very easy to clean but shows dust quickly

    4. You will see key board marks on the glass which come off but is annoying. when you have the lid closed often.

    5. Bottom line its the same exact display as the RGB LED display with a piece of glass over it. It looks cool but its for aesthetics only.

    6. Since the actual LCD panels are the same there is no quality difference.
The Edge to Edge may have a more rigid display assembly because of the glass but with a metal lid its not noticeable.

    7. I think the matte RGB screen is more practical if you using it in any type of light, shows virtually no finger prints, and does not command the price increase of getting the Covet. And again they are the same RGB panels.

This is how I clean the matte screen:

I am cloning the drive tomorrow since I have a Ghost Server. How is Acronis better than the Windows7 Backup utility?

Don't suppose there would've been any change in the fitting between the screen and keyboard with the edge to edge from the 6400 you had to the 6500 as it exists now, would there have been? I've never had an issue with glare and enjoy the glass displays I have now. Having to deal with keyboard marks all the time might be a bit much to deal with, though.
