Are they working better than before? I eventually got the other ones working and these still work. So I dont know what actually changed from v 1.3 to v 1.4, but these are working too.

With Win 7 and all that, probably dont need these...but i like the way it shuts off wifi when LAN is detected. Sometimes having both on can cause conflicts in our office.

Ok, I finally managed to find a solution after a lot of time. The problem happens if AHCI is enabled and if module bay is disabled. In this specific case, windows does not load and the installation of W7 does not work too. I don't know if this issue is due to bios or W7. Havoctex if you read me, please fix this issue.

About a little feedback on the M6500:

    Pros :
    - the most powerfull laptop I ever used
    - after calibration the screen is really good
    - it's very easy and fast to open the computer and change something inside compared to my M90 which has a crazy number of screws

    Cons :
    - before calibration the screen is very bad, that means a non-graphic user will be very disappointed
    - the HDD (WD scorpio black 250GB) is very noisy et less fast compared to my travelstar 7k500
    - slim A/C Adapter is quite heavy but the main problem for me is that there is a little noise (Bzzzzzz) and I need to unplug it when I'm sleeping
    - when I switch on the computer, it takes several seconds before any image appears on the screen (almost instantaneous on my M90)

    Problems I faced :
    - bios issue explained before
    - if you're connected to your router by wifi (internet) and to an other computer by RJ45 (direct file sharing), internet does not work; you will have to reboot without RJ45 to restore internet access => bug driver of 1510?
    - DVD drive appears as a removable device in W7, why? driver issue again?

My first order went in 1/16/10, With the accidental cancellation and reorder I am in the cue again, The BACK of the cue, with an estimated ship date of 3/24/10, It is kind of ironic as that the same date as I ship out to the mid Pacific.
I did get in touch with a Dell rep and he will do what he can, but no promises.
I’m trying to do some hyper-spectral analyses of coral-algal interactions, but no promises!
Anyone know how they are doing with ship dates, are they ever shorter than predicted?

    Razibus,

Good deal; I was just curious, because I have done same thing with Ubuntu.

    Thank You,

    Hi mhatay,

I am just curious, did you ask your rep about the new USB 3.0, and the new mini-card for RAID 5.

You may want to read my original post#1627 on this.

    I hope this helps.

For those interested in the "what's new" for SDDs, Anandtech's article on OCZ’s Vertex Limited Edition, is very interesting.

    No, I didn’t ask him,
I only have email contact and didn’t want to distract from my primary concern.
It would be a consolation if they would include the new mods.
