    Hi Bokeh,

As far as calibration, have you tried 1.8 gamma in NTSC color space
Instead of the normal 2.2 gamma. And setting the LCD brightness to
    40%/140nit then calibrating your display?

Just trying to figure this thing out… :)

    I own an M6300 and an M6400.

One thing that keeps me from ordering an M6500 is that I find the edges of the M6400 (which are the same as the M6500) too sharp. They are a pain when typing, resting my arms etc.

The M6300 has rounded edges and is much more comfortable.

I know well the inside of the M6400 and understand that the sharp edges allow for better use of the internal space. However, I wish they change that design flaw.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Antonio

I see what you mean - although it's never bothered me before on the M6400, since it's not actually genuinely sharp as e.g. the Apple unibodies.

Some custom-cut BSE/Invisibleshield around the edges (and you might as well have it on the palmrest area as well) could make a sufficiently appreciable difference, while also protecting the machine.

In fact, I wonder if sufficient people can gang up on Zagg to get them to make an M64/500 skin? Shall we have a co-ordinated submission to Zagg?

I'd love it if Zag could do a screen cover in Metalic Blue or the Covert Orange so I can change colors whenever I feel like. I think there is a sign store down the street from my house that does custom skins. It would be great to see if I could get them to do up a template. Then you could cover the screen back with all sorts of crazy stuff!

Anyone here running 3ds MAX 2010 on this monster?

I had the porgram freeze on me earlier today and not sure if its a Win7 issue our the processor just doesn't want to allicate enough processing for 3DS Max to render.

    Any ideas?

Do these items have to be specially ordered or are they both the default for the Covet?

    Hi YBcold

Check and see what version of the .net framework you have installed.
Go to Add and Remove Programs: Microsoft .net framework ?.?

You will need to download: Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP-1

Microsoft .Net Framework 4 Release Candidate is out, start with 3.5 SP-1 first...

    Hope this helps,
