Thanks for all the replies, guys!

I have 4 GB (2x2GB). @sven It's logical that doubling the ram should improve the WEI score, but it was just funny that i got a 7.4 rating with my other system, with the same 4GB of ram, now i'm getting a 5.9 score. Makes me wonder how accurate the WEI really is as a reliable benchmark of the system.

I just checked the new CCC option to use 10-bit pixel format. Asked for a reboot and ended in a blue screen. Luckily booting with "last good profile" got me running again.

Just a hint for other play kids

Try to erase/move all the files of that directory:
    C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore

and launch the WEI after it...

In the UK in particular and in Europe in general:

If a customer rejects faulty goods within a 'reasonable' period, they're entitled to ask for their money back. All customers can claim compensation at any time if they choose. If DELL sell to consumers - not other traders - they can ask for a repair or a replacement immediately (instead of asking for a refund) at any time until six years after purchase...

As your system is faulty, you can ask a full refund (and order the new system with USB 3.0) or to avoid that try to negotiate: ask a replacement with the USB 3.0...

In every case, the replacement will take as long as a new order...

Just a quick rant. The reputation thinge is a pain the neck. Whoever set it up assumed users will find a lot of posts useful. Although a user may have provided some useful information, that information may not be useful to me (already aware or inaccurate).

So, FYI, I'm working on adding to the reputations of gradx, giannini and havoctex. :D Currently I cannot add to your reputations until I spread some reputations!

    Hi skypx,

Try typing " Performance Inf " in the start menu Quick search and Press Enter
to open the tool ( Performance Information and Tools ).

Click " Update my score ". for laptops, be sure that that it is connected to
    an AC outlet.

This is one of various ways in which to accomplish this.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the info mannyA, but I was trying to reset the WEI score, as in the "not rated" message that's available when giannini's method is used.

    skypx,

    Ok, look in: %SystemRoot%\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore

To get to the Command Prompt press the Windows key + R then type: cmd
    Then press Enter.

Or create a new shortcut, to your Command Prompt:

Edit: I Forgot create a shortcut to the Command Prompt: Right-Click a clear spot on
Your Desktop select new > shortcut, type: cmd.exe then give it a name: Command Prompt

Then Right-Click your new Command Prompt shortcut select > Properties select Run as Administrator

Once in the Command Prompt type: cd %SystemRoot%\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore
    Then press Enter.

To see all the files and Directories in the DATAstore Directory type: Dir
    Then press Enter.

To Delete a file Type: DEL xxxx.xxx
(xxxx.xxx = Replace the xxxx.xxx with The Name of the File and it’s Extension) Then press Enter.

Using Winsat, you can rerun the entire suite in the Command Prompt type: winsat formal
    Then press Enter.

To reset individual parts of the Windows Experience Index, in the Command Prompt type: winsat -?
    Then press Enter.

Example Memory test type: winsat mem

    I hope this helps,

My 4GB 1600 gives me a 5.9. Must be the max for 4GB.
