    Hi tomcom2k,

If you need a Workstation for Autodesk Products etc… I recommend the M6500
Hands down. I have had nothing but problems with my W700 Stinkpad... lol

    Do not buy the Stinkpad...

My 8GB 1333 gives me 7.4. Does your XPS have 4 or 8GB?

Upgrading the amount of memory upgrades the score. Search earlier in the thread for my troubleshooting of this issue.

    Hi moogleassassin,

That's a good point, and here is a video that should help:
Preparing an Image Using Sysprep and ImageX

    Hope this helps,

For a home machine or personal image stay away from Sysprep on Win7.
    It's rubbish.

Anyone else still having touchpad issues with it not saving the settings after a restart?

After several problems with my M6500, dell is now going to replace the entire system... lets see what they send me now and when it will arrive seeing these delays everywhere. Any chances is will be getting a USB 3.0? my current system doesn't have one since i bought it same time it was released.

The number of DIMMS shouldn't matter. I know from experience that my score jumped from mid 5 to mid 7 by upgrading from 4 to 8GB.

    Hi dezoris,

I only mentioned it because someone brought it up; I have never used Windows based
Backups before, and I probably will never use them.

I personally like Acronis True Image, as you can tell from my post# 2689 and there are
Several other posts of mine in this thread where I mention the product, because you can
Perform several vital tasks. Such as making Images of your Hard Drive at any time, and
as many time as you like, this is Vital in today’s computing world.

And having the ability to Clone your Hard Drive to another Hard Drive via your USB port,
Not to mention the Security and Privacy Tools, Securely destroy file or folders with
File Shredder Tool, now you do have to be careful with them because ones you delete them
    They will be gone forever...

Let’s not forget about Hard Drive Wiping, dud this Tool is cool. You need to excurse caution
Here if you pick the wrong drive, and do not have an Image of it, your Shi- out of luck, ones
You wipe the drive you will never get the Data back.

These are just a few of the things, I like about Acronis True Image.

    I hope this helps explain that… :)
