just got the laptop today, its quite awesome :) one question though, where are the RAM DIMM slots? I found two right underneath and center but I can't find the other 2 to put in my other 4 gigs of ram I have. Do I need the torx wrench and have to remove some of the housing?

Anyone with LG Screen/Nvidia Card have a color profile I can try out?

I'm really impressed with the ease of use the screen and the lack of (aka no) bloatware. I still need to install my programs but I like this machine so far :) I got about 2 hours on maximum battery profile which I found more than acceptable.

I was editing a power point presentation, downloading and installing virtual PC then installing ASPEN on XP mode. I bet 2.5 hours isn't unreasonable just taking notes or surfing the web.

When ever I try to use that cool LED touchpad feature synaptics crashes do updated drivers fix this?

I've been trying to get my 2nd "data-only" SATA drive to timeout and spin (power) down. No luck. I've got the timeout dialed way down (1min) and even went so far as to disable the drive in the drive manager. Dell tech support had no advice either. Anyone get this to work in their box?

I tested the battery life with some general pshop work while playing an entire music cd and got 1hr and 45min. before an alert for 7% left. So a little over 2 hrs of normal use seems about right.

Locked up the pad once, but I hadn't read the manual at first and probably operator error. Since then seems to work fine. I have not updated the drivers. I agree on the machine setup....Strictly business.
