I get this often using images that were sys-prepped namely on Windows7.
Once in a while sysprep has some registry corruption and I have to re-image completely.

Things like right clicking computer to manage, or going to certain msc apps or just creating folders.

Which calibration tool should I get for the RGB screen?
My m6500 arrives next week and I'm going to be using it with Adobe Lightroom for photo-editing.
I've read almost all the 3200 posts in this thread and found a lot of good advice that a computer naive guy like me can use. The calibration is the one thing that I'll have to learn in a hurry, so which do I go with?
My local camera shop has the Color Munki, Eye One, and the Spyder 3 Elite, in stock and I wonder which has been most succesful?
    Any and all advice appreciated.

    Hi guys

    my names Martin

I ordered the m6500 on the 24/3 and now waiting impatiently :)
As i m a student (of architecture) my budget was quite limited so i got mostly the basic stuf but am still very happy with the offer:

    - i7 720
    - WUXGA white LED LCD
    - 8gb 1333mhz DDR3
    - ATI Firepro
    - 2 320gb hdd in raid 0
    - intel wireless 5300
    - 3yr Pro support for end users and NBD
I got it for about 2000 euro but i ll get 20% back (tax) as i bought it for a company so the final price is about 1650 euro.

    However i have some questions:

1, as i said i ordered it on 24th and it is in production since the 29th, my question is how long took it for u guys(with similar configuration) to deliver ? (i ordered it in austria). Coz i saw on this thread that many of urs got delayed.

2, is there any possibility to get more info about the status of my order than on the dell/status site?

3, any experience on the WUXGA white led screen? coz most of u have the RGB panel.

4, users of ATI, i saw that a new driver came out. did u see any improvements? if so what kind ?

    thanks in advance :)

The Spyder 3 Elite worked without problem for me on the M6500 and all my several other screens, once the ATI driver issues were solved by the first update. I hear the Color Munki is more idiot proof; there is some opinion that the Spyder 3 StudioSR (which includes separate Spyder 3 Elite for screens, the Spyder 3 Print for prints and a clever little grey scale target for white balance) does a better job at covering all the bases with specific instruments for each job rather than the Color Munki's all-in-one solution. Certainly I found the argument convincing enough to opt for the Spyder 3 StudioSR for about the same price as the Color Munki (and have no regrets having profiled my large format Epson printer with various papers too) but of course YMMV. I'm sure any of them can be made to do the job well.

NOTICE: Their is a new System Software update released today for the m6500/Win 7 64 bit. I've installed it. Tech support said as long as all your drivers are set up and working fine, it's OK to update that software.
