Many have solved this issue with changing drivers...those IDT drivers have been a work in progress for a long time. I wouldn't let them change my motherboard....they'll just goof up the machine probably and you'll end up with the same issue. You'll have to completely remove the IDT drivers before rebooting....I don't think many of us are using XP these days...I run it in XP mode with Win 7 pro for some oldish tax programs.

that's just my opinion....it's worth what you paid for it :)

Well, just got the replacement Covet for the Standard 6500 I have in hand and I haven't even turned it on yet. Still trying to figure out how I will get everything transfered over and update my SSD to the latest format. I need to do a clean installl on the SSD but wasn't sure if I can format it like most HDDs.

Any input would help and I don't want to just swap drives Because I'm affraid of what problems I may run into.

Well, I just finished swapping drives and formating the OS off of the drive that came with the New Covet and all seems well. I have USB 3.0 but of course like everyone else the controler doesn't work so I'll be waiting to see when they finally update the drivers. Not sure why the damb thing doesn't show up in the device manager but the ports ARE blue and it says it installed the drivers properly so we will see.

Aside from that I like the Glass screen better. When comparing them side by side the Glass screen looks a bit crisper. not to mention I hate having to clean in the corners of those screens.

Besides you can't beat the color of this thing, it truely is an intense Orange! I love it!

Oh forogt to mention the bottom part of the chassie is getting replaced thanks to a bend in the Aluminum right above the release button for the screen. It almost looks like it was too tight during installl and the metal warped because of over tighening something! Oh well, Dell will be here on Monday to replace it!

Also, anyone not wanting to use the Dell Control Point Connection Manager feel free to uninstall. The new system didn't come with it and the INtel Card works fine. Not sure about the other wireless cards though.
