    Hi theZoid,

Sorry to say, SSD's + RAID = NO TRIM.

But Intel heads the pack on this research: Intel brings TRIM to SSD’s in RAID

Google: Widows 7 Trim raid there are some good articles for you to read.

I Hope this helps a little,

I'll give an update tomorrow provided I don't have to do a complete rebuild.

As for the intel wiireless card, it will have a 5300 in it unless I can get the same deal you got! Can I get the hookup too?

PM babyhemi just like I spelled it and he will set you up...apparently he's got a batch of these in unopened OEM boxes.

EDIT: I got my right away after paypal'ing him....he's got a thread on NBR selling these so it's well known....:) Get 'em while they last :)

EDIT2: I've got two 5300's for sale...one unopened from Dell, one I took out of my m6500 if anyone's interested ...let 'em go cheapola....

how is battery life with an SSD anyone know? I'm somewhat curious but if we're not adding over an hour of battery life just by switching the drives the downgrade in space is too restrictive for me to consider :/

I suppose my last question/comment should be disregarded as the battery life with an ssd with only be significantly better if what I work on is reading and writing to the ssd often and because of this the battery life will be about the same while the read/write speeds will be off the hook.

Could you please post some reasonable benchmark on it? I mean something like HDTune if you are on Windows or hdparm -tT + dd on unixoids, and not this Windows built-in lottery.
    Thanks!

Ohh - so is there any reason to use the intel driver at all, compared to the built in Win7 AHCI driver?
