    I'd like to order one... But I'm still waiting for Dell Japan to offer V13 with Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor and 4MB of RAM like in other countries... :(

    Will I miss much performance if I go with Core 2 Solo SU3500 processor?

    I think you should call Dell Japan and ask, I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to order it with the SU7300. I've seen other examples of this in my country as well online, but if you call them, they can help you.

    I got mine today - Core 2 Duo w/ 4GB RAM, loaded it up to the max.. great design, thinner than i had imagined it to be. i always wipe dell's OS load and start fresh - it was acting very strange with my external USB CD ROM drive.. i have three different brands laying around my office.. it wouldn't even recognize the first one i tried (an Optiwrite), then I tried a Teac and it worked OK. Installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.. the only driver not picked up by the default MS install was the drop motion sensor, which you can find on the CD included with the v13. I couldn't find the 2nd USB port for a few minutes until I realized that the eSATA port and 2nd USB port are a combo port.. interesting.. a magnet is used to close the lid, a cool idea.. overall, i'm happy with it so far, but its only been a day.

    Yes, I think I might do that. But to be honest, I prefer only to use their website since I don't really speak Japanese. At least I can use any online translation tool such as Google Translate or IE8's Live Search Accelerator if I find words or sentences which I don't understand.

    Last time I called them in person, it was very stressful. And in reality, not all of their staffs able to speak English well too. It took some time for them to search for somebody who can assist me in English. Even then it wasn't as smooth as you can imagine.

    Now, if I can get a hold on my friend who can speak to them in their native language on this winter holidays...

    Nice, looks like you could be one of the first (at least the first on NBR that is!) :D

    Hope you like it, I'm eyeing a Vostro 13v as a possible replacement for my D630 in a few years. :D

    I ordered mine 15 Dec 2009, it's still not in production, but ETA is the 07 Jan 2010, I wonder if this date will change?

    Ordered mine on 12/9 with all maxed out specs and a 370 off coupon. Estimated delivery date was 1/22, but I checked the status yesterday and will get it TODAY... hehehe
