This machine looks amazing! I stuck between this, a vostro 1220, the asus ul80t, a vostro 1220 and maybe a sony, what i do want is a portable blu ray machine. But still debating to have great battery life. The dude with the n97 what do you think about? I am thinking about eventually getting a n900.

Is there any way you can buy one of these if your not the owner/part of a company? This looks better than their consumer products.

Glad you like it, it looks great in your photos, don't worry. I actually like this silver look, although if you could get blue or orange like the latitude or precision line that would be cool. +rep for photos. :D

Judging by you and other's reports, unless Dell makes a latitude model like this in the next 3 years, this could very well be my next computer! :D

FYI I am a Nokia fan boy and have been using Nokia products for more than 10 years. But my advice, stay away from the N97 because this is a joke. It is the worst ele0ctronic devices I have purchased in years. And before I bought something I did very intensive research but I was wrong for the N97.

The Symbian is unusable, even with their new 2.0 version for S60 V5. I have reboot it almost every day (many times in a day even) and 70% of the time when I do a cold reset (meaning take out the battery, because it freezes all the time), it just won't wake up so I have hard reset it and reinstall all the software and contacts. So now I dare not to install new apps and backup my contacts regularly.

The N900 I don't know, but through many reviews its Maemo seems to be fine but I don't like the thinkness and bulky look (it's even thicker than the thick N97). Also, it does not fully support screen rotate for all the apps.. and not to mention a small community of Maemo that has little apps.

So, save your money and wait till Jan 5th for the Nexus One, which is what I'm looking forward to. I'm gonna sell my N97 and get the Nexus One, which supports 3G on Tmobile.

Thanks, it's actually not very silver.. it's not shinny and glossy, a combination of chrome metal, a little light bronze.. I wish they could offer better CPU, replaceable battery and other colors because with this kind of machine, style is very important...

So only real minus with the V13 is the non-replaceable battery? Do you agree? Performance seems to be fine with the SU7300 and 4GB RAM, I wonder how it compares to the HP 5310M?

Sure, you can simply enter your name into the "company name" box at checkout.

Darn, it looks like Dell yanked the model with the Celeron processor. Man I was going to order it this Thurs.

Will V13 be powerful enough to support Blu-Ray movie playback with an external BR drive?
