Opened the V13 again tonight and I could not find a SIM card slot! May be the WWAN adapter has one integrated onto it? Or may be the mini PCIe connector is not for a WWAN card (but there are 2 free antenna cables taped to it.
The advertised WWAN they will be using is: Dell 5540 HSPA Mobile Broadband Module
Anyone has the specs for this module?

actually it does have a sim board : here is what i found for removal instructions for it :

    1.

    Pre-Removal Instructions
    Before removing the SIM board:

    1. Remove the Express Card
    2. Remove the SD Memory Card
    3. Remove the Bottom Base Cover
    4. Remove the Battery

    2.

Disconnect the flex cable from the SIM board.

The rest is pretty much removing it. Let me know if you want entire disassemble steps.

The memory is easy to replace as well : its under the LED Cover, just snap it off like rest of dell systems and its right there :)

Thanks so much for the information.... This is my first Dell so I'm not familiar with the disassembly of this little machine or of any other Dell laptop and I don't have access to service manuals!
Question: how do you unclip the cover above the keyboard to change the memory? I just don't want to break it.

So, all V13 owners, still happy? I read reports that the fan noise is virtually non existing, is this true?

i'm quite keen on getting this, i wonder how easy it is to replace the battery. i've had bad experiences with lithium ion batteries losing charge after a year.

as it is this guy dosent seem to have very good battery life, gonna be horrible once the battery degrades a bit, which kind of defeats the purpose of having an ultraportable

Any pictures of hard drive location/replacement? I'm considering replacing the stock drive with an SSD.
