Also, why has Dell given its new laptops big arses. It's silly. You can allow for ports in the rear without having to resort to this silly design.

EDIT: I believe they did it to achieve a slimmer profile overall.

I wonder if that Celeron CPU will out perform my 1.6ghz AMD TF-20 laptop, cause if it's close to it performance wize then I think I found my new laptop.

I really like the concept, but the keyboard and the touchpad look hideous to me.

Looks awesome. Just needs a HDMI port and decent keyboard. Bezel seems a little thick too. Non-removable battery does kind of suck as well.

Yeah but the Vostro 1330 looks way cheaper and "plasticky" (esp the glossy black plastic lid)

I really wanted to like this, but the internal battery is a deal breaker. Still, a nice machine from Dell, looks pretty good! :D

    agreed :)
they also charge extra for the os upgrades too. the middle version is vista,

yes, but a 1330 is twice as thick lol.. and really really ugly.
looks might not be the #1 thing on my list, but its pretty high up their. if i was all about the looks and "cool factor" i wouldve bought an mbp a long time ago.

i guess its all about what you would rather have. everything isnt about performance. id personally rather have less performance w/ a smaller nicer form factor. which is exactly why im planning on grabbing one of these :)

anyone wanting to get one in canada: if you use the middle configuration than upgrade the cpu, comes out to 770, but u get vista. if you already own win7 though thats a better option imo.
