It didn't include an external drive. Not that I will be needing one anyway. I intend to replace the HD with an SSD though. Doesn't seem to be too hard to open it up. There are instructions online.

Yes, the Lenovo U350. I've had one for about a month now and I really like the unit. It's not as slick looking as the V13, but what I like about it is that it's not a sealed unit. I can upgrade the ram, change the battery, access the hard drive and the LAN and WAN modules. I have the SU4100 dual core model with 3GB of RAM (soon to be 4). The OS is Win7 64 bit, no 32 bit is available on this laptop. Build quanlity is very good. Firm keyboard, great stereo speakers (yes, there's 2). I paid 400.00 for it from the outlet. It's a good notebook.

But I must confess, I like the looks of the V13 so much I ordered one from the outlet using the 20% off coupon currently out there. I got the SU7300 duo 2 core with 2GB of RAM for 408.00 dollars, Win7 premium OS. I don't know if I'll keep it, but I wanted to get one of these in my hands. Seems like the vibrating hard drive issue on these is hit or miss.

Hi,Just got my latituide 13 with the 64 dell ssd from Samsung. the model should do about 200mb/r and 100mb/w, but on my system it is only 140mb/r. did I missing something? Still smoking fast, but just want to make sure I get the best out of it. also if any one can suggest an bag for it? not the simple sleeve. just an nice messenger bag.

I also have the Latitude 13 with the 64GB SSD, and for $899, I could not be more pleased at the moment. If you tell me how to check the speed, I can check mine to see if I get the same numbers as yours.
