    HI all,
I am using XP Pro SP3 with my V13 (SU7300) and noticed that in the device manager it shows "unknown processor" for the CPU. And also I am unable to resume from standby.
    Anyone experience these?
    Thanks in advance.

The V13 was not designed to run on Windows XP. ;)

Hey, is there any DCP like software for the V13? I like the abilities it has for battery power saving modes...

    Still like mine. :)

I think the V13 has a better build because of the Aluminum case than a comparable ThinkPad Edge and is priced better too. I'll take a ULV Celeron any day over a AMD Neo.

The ThinkPad Edge keyboard is better than the V13.

I have both the V13 and Lenovo U350 which is comparable to the V13. I just got the V13 a few weeks ago. The U350 is the better build laptop no question. Big difference in the keyboard is what I noticed. It feels sturdier overall too.
But when it comes to looks, the v13 wins hands down. That's the only reason I got it in the first place. I really like the way this laptop looks! I got one out of the outlet with a coupon and it was only 439.00 w/tax so it wasn’t too bad. It's the core 2 duo w/2GB of ram (standard build). The U350 has the SU4100 dual core w/4GB of ram. It came w/3. It cost me 27 dollars to upgrade to 4 off e-bay. I paid 447.00 w/tax for the U350 out of the Lenovo outlet.

The U350 is much more user accessible. It has 2 memory slots so you can upgrade to 4GB really cheap, the OS is 64 bit standard. I have the 8 cell battery and get a solid 7-1/2 hours on it. Screens are about the same as far as I can tell. Ports, the U350 has way more ports on it. HDMI, 3 USB's, SATA, and the other usuals. I like the touchpad and keys on the V13 better.
I guess it just depends on what you want.

hmm, ya im torn between getting a v13 or dropping the extra $300 and getting a lenovo x201. V13 is thinner and lighter, but the x201 is way more powerful and better build quality. :/

after fiddling around with the v13 for a while now i am still delighted with this machine. i replaced the 7200rpm sata (very bad dell choice) with a 50 gb ocz ssd (very good mongrel choice) and this baby flies. the dual core 1.3 is heaps faster than my 2.4 sl500 lenovo thinkpad. this machine does what i want it for... netting, docs etcetera and standard amusements. hard core gamers look elsewhere. the only strong criticism is the lack of backlit keyboard. for a business laptop where travellers may well be in dim lights (on planes, taxi's etc) imo this should've been standard. i bought a novatell wireless mifi hotspot wifi/modem and wifi works flawlessly on seven and linux and adds considerable battery time and provides far better internet coverage right from your suitcase/glovebox/hotel/anywhere... fab! better than the option of the internal 34m aircard slot and sim slot.which is basically an arse to set up and a bit restricting. don't expect stellar performance from this laptop (great yes) but it'll do just about everything you want with no trouble. i consider my money well spent.
