Every so often they'll send out a coupon with a varying amount of savings. The latest one I got was for 15%.

Yeah I know that but, he said he got the $639 version for $439 which is 35% off which I've yet to see a coupon anywhere near that amount.

I got my v13 for with a 30% coupon only about three or four weeks ago. There was also a pot-luck new coupon thingy like a month ago with coupons up to 35% off.

there was a 20 % coupon out about a month ago, and the starting price was 509.00 at the time. The prices have crept up. They were at 559.00 a week or so ago, now they're at 579.00. This is for the standard su7300 w/2 gb ram and a 320 HD.

I ended up sending the unit back. Battery life is average at best, that was the biggest issue for me. But it sure was nice looking.

So would everyone say the Celeron M + Win 7 is good enough to do basic tasks like Music(not iTunes) + Browsing or Word + Browsing or All 3?

Actually I usually do all three at the same time by using an extension screen, smoothly, I have to say. I've replaced original hard drive by a SSD, so I can't tell you what performance it has with 5400rpm hard drive, but I guess it wouldn't be so traumatic.:)

Can anyone shed light on the differences between the Vostro V13 and the Latitude 13?
