Not to worry... I still need the external drive and 4GB RAM :)
Also will upgrade to a new SSD for maximum performance ...

I'm waiting for the 160 GB Intel G3 SSD. In all honesty upgrading my Latitude 13 to 4 GB didn't make difference in terms of performance. But the 4 GB stick was free so I'm not complaining. :D

Well the new V13 arrived early and I am delighted with the performance :)
Has anyone on this forum experimented with overclocking on the new V2 BIOS?

What do you mean by V2? I seriously doubt anyone will overclock anything on this laptop as it's sold as a basic notebook for basic tasks such as web, word processor and streaming video. Even the high-end spec'd V13 with a SU7300 CPU machine runs off an Intel 4500 GPU. I own one and it came with the Celeron CPU and it handles Windows 7 quite nicely but I don't expect to play Civilization 5 on it. :)

    Thanks for your reply.
I noticed that my Vostro came with BIOS A05, not the previous A02. (V2 = version2)
Do I have the ability to overclock with A05 as others have previously reported with A02?
I am not looking for a gaming laptop - I already have a ASUS - just looking to tweak the performance a bit :)

Thanks for the V2 clarification. :)

As for the rest, honestly I don't know and I wouldn't even consider doing it to mine as I stated previously. W7 Premium runs quite snappy on the ULV Celeron that came with V13.

You are right - I have the U7300 CPU and it is snappy. :p

Why is your WEI lower than my Latitude 13's? With 4 GB RAM my lowest score is a 3.5 with the SU7300

Good question ... can you post your L13 WEI score?
