funny how this morning, i wake up and the seller jacked up the price of the 4gb ram from 36.99 to 99.99 lol, looked around a bit more and found one for $44...

the prices have gone up for a lot of them so if u plan on purchasing, make sure u get one that isn't over priced.

I recently purchased this laptop $349 on sale! I haven't received it yet but I read in numerous places about "Inexplicable screen damage". From what I have read on this forum, most of you seem to be pleased with your machine so far. I was just wondering what kind of rate of incidence that this might occur or if any of you have had this happen to you. It almost seems like a overall build issue that could be affecting everyone.

I've had my Latitude 13 for 4 months now. I haven't experience anything like that, though I am very careful with my laptops.

    The source of the articles?

I say bogus articles if you ask me. The V13 design was taken from the Adamo. I've owned a V13 for close to a year now and no screen or hinge issues whatsoever. The V13 is well built and should last you many years with proper care.

are any of you guys running linux on your V13? I decided to pick one up for a linux home browsing machine, and the touchpad is giving me some issues in Fedora. I did swap out the drive with an SSD so maybe I'll pop the windows drive back in and see if it happens in windows as well.

You should ask this in the Linux forum. There are some issues with the Linux touchpad driver. Someone over there might have a workable solution for you.
