    They don't take each laptop and put it on a private jet to fly it out here as soon as it's built. They stock them up and wait till they've reached a quota ready to ship, then bring it to a carrier who has business and non business days, etc. I can see how all that waiting can take 5 days.

    no one else has received a call that theirs is delayed because of the Nvidia 8400M GS?

    what are ur specs?..because the dell rep said that my screen and my processor are the things that will make it later...she said had i gotten a differnt processor and a different screen...i might be seeing my laptop alot earlier

    I ordered the 1500 with the 5000 series C2D, 2mb RAM, 120 gb hd, 8600M GT and, of course, the dreaded wxga+ truelife screen. Has anyone heard whether that screen will make us feel like we're silkscreening kids' names onto their baseball jersies while looking at the screen?

    Does that mean that CAS Latency 4 RAM will be useless? I was really looking forward to it.

    I got a delay e-mail, saying my order will probably ship around August 1st, but I know it'll be sooner then that, and I was expecting the e-mail since I doubt they'd get through boxing in under 2 days and meet todays ESD, heh.
