Only if the hard drive itself has heating issues.

Question for anyone else with a Vostro 1500:

So i got my 1500 monday.. and it's running great but the LCD panel is not flush with the body and when closed is quite wobbly and has a gap between the body and lcd.

Has anyone else experienced this? The funny part is that it's worse on the right side, but still not great on the left.

that plus the size (a bit bigger than i'd hoped) and the battery sticking out the back are making me consider a return and possibly going with the xps 1330...

anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue too.

Yes, I have the same exact issue, and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it.

It rattles like crazy, and I've never noticed that on a laptop before.

I only received one cd, the webcam/sound drivers. Not even the system drivers were included.

Yeah same here. I do have the hissing "problem", but calling it a "problem" is pretty weak since it's barely noticable unless you just have the headphones plugged in with no noise.

Anyways, does anyone know of a site with good widescreen wallpaper? Deviantart is a no go, as I hate navigating through 50 pages of **** to find one decent wallpaper.

Dell didn't ship the OS CD with my 1400. It came installed with Vista Home Basic. I emailed them asking for them to send me the install disk. Within the next day I got a tracking number and the package was delivered yesterday by DHL. To my suprise it turns out that Dell shipped me the install disc for Vista Home Premium :) I installed it last night and now I my 1400 is running Home Premium rather than Home Basic :)
