Makes sense. Data sets involved in those applications are relatively small. 4K+ video editing would likely be a different story.

I mean we are fiddling around the margins here I would expect a number in the 40-50ns ballpark - with latest Dell laptops we are getting twice that, consistent with the 2T command rate Dell BIOSes set on their latest models, apparently.

Thanks. Maybe it's worth considering then. Unfortunatelly sound in 7740 is poor at best.

I see you also have 7730. Is there any significant different in terms of noise? I can't say anything bad about it in 7740 (only when gaiming but this I can understand).

The 7750's speakers aren't super good, but I like how the speakers don't try to force every ounce of bass out of themsleves, instead opting for a more balanced sound.

on my 7760, I have the displays set to turn off after 10 min. On wake, I have the lock screen and have to log in. I am using with external displays and lid closed and have the proximity sensor turned off in Optimizer. I cannot find a setting that makes it where I do not need the lock screen. I do not have this on my 7710.

    Any ideas?

    Kind of weird.
Go to the "old" control panel, search "screen saver", and find the option "Turn screen saver on or off".
In the box that pops up there, uncheck the box for "On resume, display login screen". (This applies even if you have the screen saver set to "None".)
