    Congrats Per,

I hope everything works for you!

I'm going to try some heavy gaming tonight to see if the A11 Bios is any good ;) So far the continuos fan running on lower speed is at least gone so 1 advantage over A09 :D

Thanks! I am not really looking forward to Vista, but it was the only way to circumvent the problems with XP64. Linux is a strong option, but much of the software I run is windows based.

    i feel ya,

my first notebook was a toshiba too. a satellite 2060CDS with a 366mhz amd K6 processor.

no touchpad either, just nipple mouse. but i got used to a touchpad pretty quickly after getting my inspiron 8600. but the nipple mouse still comes in useful for making precise movements

I am just curious, the left click button that you use with the track pad doesn't seem to have the spring that the center and right button do. It almost feels like there is no spring on the left button however it seems to function correctly. It just feels a little dead. Is this normal?

no this is not normal. all my mouse buttons feel uniform

i miss the days of the i8600, the radeon 9600 was enough to play any game at the highest settings, and wasnt that expensive.
now i'll have to spend double what i paid for my i8600 if i want to play the best currrent games at max settings.

i bought the i8600 as soon as it came out with the radeon 9600....because i wanted a native directx 9 card lol.....

actually before the i8600 i had the i8200 with radeon 9000 for a while.....
