So I got the vbios thing all figured out, thanks to various peers in this forum.

I had it set at 1.1v 900mhz and 1200mhz and experienced crashing and artifact, so i toned down to 850mhz 1.1v and 1200mhz memory

I was wondering what your success was for ocing these cards. I am not sure if I should give a little more voltage to get to 900mhz

What is maximum safety voltage for these cards?

    Thank you.

ACtually after the installlation of the 11.10, the windows property says it is directx 10.... Is this glitch or how do I make sure that dx 11 is enabled?

i thought it was dx 11 in default..

I downloaded the 11.10 drivers from AMD's site. I have uploaded 11.10 to for you to download it 11-10_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe.

What I linked you and what DR650SE posted is how I flashed my 5870's to 850/1200. I upped my voltage to 1.1v for stability. I would recommend that you do not jump straight to 850/1200. You can use 800/1100 as a starting point then raise it from there. (Monitor your temps!)

That is my GPU-Z SS with the updated VBIOS. You do not need to reflash just go ahead and follow the directions DR posted I promise you it will get you all set. If you do feel that you need more help I will be happy to do so.

If I remember correctly, they won't boot at any voltage above 1.15. They are pretty robust cards, but make sure you're monitoring your temperatures.

What turbo said. You can use 1.15v but nothing higher will boot. Try 1.15v and that might give you the stability. I bencher my 5870s at 1010/1310. Yea you saw that right :D 1Ghz mobile gpu  straight gangsta!! Lol :p Im a nerd...

Dellienware, those drivers are dx11. I think you're being too paranoid now. Just enjoy the laptop, install and a game and play :D

I can confirm that the 11.11c's linked earlier in this thread are working fine with single graphics card configurations. I have it installed in my R3 and its working fine. No bsods
