Is your Vista 64 taking a long time to log off (often hanging)?

Any heat issues with your quad core M4400, 0.5GB FX770M?
    Do you have 8GB RAM?

Don't waste your money -- EBAY has the Dell 150W adapters (PA-15) for around 30 bucks (used) -- why buy new. I've never experienced a problem with an AC adapter in all the years I've been using laptops.

I don't think it is as heavy as the "brick"! ;)
I hope mine are coming during the next days so I can tell if they work!

After all.. I don't think the M6400 can consume more than 150W!
150W for workin + 60W for charching.... that seems to be the Dell-Solution!

    45W CPU
    75W GPu
    18W LED
    __________
    138W

... chipset etc. won't use more than 12W...

It seems like a whole lot of buyers of the 6400 go for the quad core processor and trying to figure out which would be best for me I'm leaning more towards the extreme duo core, the x9100. From what I've been able to learn, even though I do some light design work I get the impression that the duo core would be better and wonder what benefit all the quad buyers are looking for. Or are a lot of people getting that processor just because it's quad core? Any explanation would be more than I know for sure right now.

Not many applications currently use multiple cores. However with all the system background activity performance for your single thread app is not impacted. In other words the system response time is good even though you may be using photoshop and have IE running and email being filtered and a print job, etc.

In my case I plan to do a lot of video editing and here the quad core will shine with multiple cores being used at the same time. Google quad core speed video edit - there are multiple benchmarks showing quad core much faster.

One can give several examples: compile code using two cores and still be able to use the system for IE or Word.
Heavy duty calculation using two cores and still use IE or Word or photoshop. Etc.,
