Generally I've found that if you simply install JUST the drivers for TPM and then let Vista, or Windows 7 which I'm doing on my tablet, handle the TPM it works MUCH better. FYI Bit Locker on Windows 7 is SOOOOOOOOO much better then in Vista its not even funny. Entire drive encryption doesn't hit system performance at all...or so ripping a DVD is suggesting at the very least.

    Hello,

i've finally found the culprit of some stability problems in a faulty memory module.
Windows memory diagnostic was quite erratic in giving results, i finally found the problem by running memtest86+ a few hours.
Got replaced the memory module and the LED screen in the morning.

Talking about DELL QC, so far i've got replaced in 7 days:

    - E2E LED screen (twice)
    - DVD unit
    - a 2Gb DDR3 memory module

It's bit too much to my taste, especially considering the price tag of the system. NEVER had so many problems with DELL in the past.

Also, -and here i am probably a bit too picky- the E2E RGB screen got some imperfections, such as a visible greenish / blueish halo on around the right edge, especially at bottom right corner.
2 screens out the 3 i've got installed show that same defect (i bet also the third one got it, but didn't check that due to bigger issues).

If you have this kind of screen try looking at the bottom right corner with a completely white screen background, maybe you'll see what i mean ...

Nice m8! And you got a good price too!
Very good choice of warranty! Given the QC control of DELL lately onsite warranty is unfortunately necessary...
And the DELL technicians are really helpfull! :)

Btw it is heavier, bigger etc, but the WUXGA resolution is excellent! :)

    Hi All,

I have tried to put the new Seagate Hard Drive (DE17) firmware onto a RAID 0 Array. Unfortunately, it only seem to update the first hard-drive and not the second one in the Array.

Does anyone know how to update the 2nd drive in the RAID Array

    Cheers

    Adam

you could try editing the DE17.bat file. i can't find a reference for the command switches for SF.EXE , but i'm guessing that's where the fix will lie?

i did find one switch to set the master/slave
    ( -d <0:1> .......Only flash master '0' or slave '1' devices )
but SATA drives dont use the master/slave system :(

    another possible switch is ...
( -p <port> ......Only flash devices located at the specified base port address.Port address must be in hex )

    ok
i just found this forum post..........

so according to that, SF.exe should flash all your drives?

maybe if you add the following switch...... -d 0:1
    to your bat file, ie

    @echo off

    sf -m Casey -f DE17.LOD -x -s -b -v -z -d 0:1
    pause

it will force it to scan all available channels?

How much battery life can I expect with 2.66 Ghz T9550, RGBLED, 7200rpm HDD and FX 2700 gpu?
