-Dell has posted updated Intel Matrix driver and application (4/30/09).
-Nvidia has also posted driver for notebook Quadro FX (it's still in beta; 4/30/09). I tried it and I got a washed out screen.

    Hi Barn,

You were so kind to PM another user a link for the latest Windows 7 build - I would be extremely happy for that too :)

    Kindest regards,
    Kaliya

    it's on technet now!
if you don't have that, i wouldn't bother with a torrent as Microsoft are releasing the rc to the public on Tuesday (5th) :)

ps, those of you who allready have the rc, have you tried the virtual xp package?
runs super fast for me but i am having one problem.........the min/max and close buttons don't allways work on open windows in the virtual xp

    Bluetooth = Fail.

I got it to work for a bit, but after a while, my bluetooth keyboard would simple stop working and the only way to get it to work again was to repair it.

    Pretty lame.

None of the new drivers work with the RGB LED. My external display works fine though.

The only other driver I could get to work other than the official windows 7 update driver, is 182.47, and that was a beta release for the Quadro's.

It pissex me off to no end that all these drivers come out and it's nothing but the washed out screen with the whitish vertical lines.

We pay for the latest tech and can't use the latest video drivers.

Oh, and for color it didn't have one, and the others say silver... Does that mean it's the Covet? Would be awesome. I'm extremely excited to get this. Should be here Friday!

Thanks to everyone for the information on this laptop that you've provided.[/QUOTE]

If it doesn't say 'silver' it's a Covet (or at least with the Covet case and all the Covet specs -3700 vid, slot load, edge to edge. But if you search for 'burnt orange' or 'orange' it says there are none. Mine was the only one that didn't say 'silver' and in watching it since every one that doesn't list a color has Covet stuff. I'd also swear mine had never even been turned on.

I never had an LED screen and forgot this M6400 has one and from what you said, it explained why my screen looked washed out.

Yep, I tried the Vista driver running it in compatibility mode and it still wouldn't go. I really want to use 7 too! :(
