From what I have read so far, a lot of people are using external hard drives for backup. Is it better to just buy an external drive or buy a fast internal hard drive and put it into an enclosure? Which option would offer better performance? Thanks.

Got the email from– your covet has been dellayed new estimated ship date 12/1 originally 11.20 – ordered 10.22 – hopefully it will bug free, fresh battery equipped, driver updated, more matte glossy than glossy glossy, and has all the parts I ordered. That cannot be too much to ask.

I'm not noticing any keyboard flex on my Covet. The keyboard is quite sturdy enough for me to type comfortably. If I press abusively on a key, it does bend, but so would a desktop keyboard under that force.

What I am having trouble with is the frequent Maya crashing. It's happened twice today while I've been trying to work.

I NOW know what "keyboard flex" is.

Though someone had one with so much flex they had to mod it, my Dell 9100 has none.
But the Covet definately sinks down mostly in the center and a little right of center.
But I REALLY dont understand why this is such a big deal?? I dont even notice it when I type. Its a different typing experience than my Dell 9100, but all laptops are a bit different and it doesnt have to do with flex or no flex.
I REALLY dont think its a big deal on the covet, and judging by the 9100 differences (extreme differences apparently as mine has NONE and another user had to mod his), I would guess that all the covets will not be exactly the same in this matter.

The glossy screen is my first glossy screen in my 3 diff laptops.
Again, it REALLY doesnt bother me so far. And I like the way the screen looks with the gloss. Its just a beautiful screen.

    so those about to buy,

    dont worry about the flex.
dont worry about the glass cover.
I mean, I think its kind of crazy if you actually WANT the covet for what it gives, but decide against it cause of reports of flex or glossy screen.

But then, we all have our own opinions.
This machine is just beautiful. And very solid.
Did I mention the screen is gorgeous?

    2HDs, No RAID.
Does the M6400 allow you to power down the 2nd HD if it's not in use?
