What kind of discounts do they offer? I don't suppose they would offer student discounts on these laptops, because they are business laptops. I'm also looking at getting a 9 cell battery as well as a 6..

The discounts I picked up would be different since I went through our account rep to get this laptop. You can ask your IT dept or friends to see if you have Dell EPP discount. If so, you can call Dell EPP and get some discount, however it won't be that much since these just came out last month.

If you can live with the I5-430M CPU, the preconfigured Vostro 3400 is a really nice price and it ships in 24 hours. You can only get it in silver though.

If you can get a few more dollars off on the phone, you can have an I5/310M laptop with backlit keyboard for sub-$800 price. Sweet.

Is this laptop sold in stores anywhere? I would like to look at it before I purchase.

Well, according to my account rep:

"This is built and headed to the US right now. It should be shipping out within 72hrs."

So hopefully I should get it soon, and have a couple of nice pics to post when it gets here!
