Also something i checked the flex on the lids of the D620/D630 both have the same amount of flex in its lid.

Wow there's soo much flex on this little beast. I was thinking of ordering a 3300, but since it seems i will only be getting 2-3 hrs tops of battery with that stupid 4 cell battery, i doubt i will get it now.

Two comments on the flex tough, about the lid, i doubt u can flex it more than what was shown on the video, its AL after all.
And the keyboard, something tells me they made it that way since it is spill safe. Some rubber holding it underneath or something?

Still i think you will have an issue as the screen on this systen has to be the thinist h iave seen in some time and not to mention ripping apart the screen for that kind of upgrade would void the warranty and the bios may not even handle that resolution screen as dell only ships 1366x768 screens and the actual connectors probably arnt the same connectors.

I honestly dont think the flex is that bad the d62, d630 has the same amount of flex and the 420 seems to be almost worse when it comes to lid flex. i wouldnt let the flex detur you from a 3400...i would let to lack of ports detur you from the 3300.

I tried running everest both the release and the beta and neither have the southbridge listed but i can tell you that the WWAN slot is a wired for PCIE x1 i had a Broadcom crystal card in it for a week to test the card out as it would not work in a friends vostro v13 which dosnt have a tru pcie wwan slot as it turns out. and the express card also wited for PCIE as my Esata card works fine in it. and uses pcie as well

You have an e-sata card as well. This is great! Can you connect the esata port and peruse the Everest menus to see where PCI-E ports are listed? It's probably not under southbridge for your newer chipset. I'm looking for a listing like this one from a HM57 chipset. If port1 or port2 is empty, can you swap the wifi card and see if then you have the e-sata AND wifi listed as port1+port2? If so, then the vostro 13 would be a great DIY ViDock x2 1.0 system, which can deliver some very impressive performance. Ie: 3dmark06>13k for a HD5750. Probably over 15k for a HD58xx.

it appears that Port #1 and Port #5 are the empty ports i dont have the cards on me currently but port 2 is my Intel 6300 HH Minicard. and port 3 is the Gig ethernet, and there is no port 4. and they are reported as PCIE x1 2.0 ports

This info is promising. Can you at all connect your Broadcom and e-sata card when you have them to confirm what is port1 and port2? It could be 2xmPCIe slots. I'm hopeful that one of them is the expresscard port as it is a far more convenient and versatile setup, without sacrificing the wifi card.
