Anyone with the Dell Wireless 5530? I have a yellow exclamation next to Smart Card. Drivers for that? It does work, but it's kind of annoying. :)

This matches my experiences 100%. In my case I managed to get around this message ""Unable to unlock data as your TPM device is not ready..." by disabling the TPM functionalities from within the BIOS altogether. That allowed me to log on to W7. I could then disable all the features in the Wave application.
For me a rollback to the previous Security Manager is not an option though, as I needed this new Security Manager Application to solve issues I had with the smartcard reader. Perhaps I 'll check to see whether these smartcard issues reappear in case I do a rollback.

I love the fingerprint too much to give it up so I rolled back. I have to reboot once a week since when I go into hibernate/standby the reader seems to stop functioning.

I with the UPEK app would access the pre-boot. That app works perfect.

I had a small scratch on the lid of my e6400 (it came that way) so I had Dell replace the lid which they did today. With the replaced lid I noticed that if I close the lid about 80-90 percent of the way (like maybe 1 inch above where it hits the latch) it goes into standby.

I don't remember if my original lid did this or not because I'm not sure I ever tested it.

Can someone test this out and let me know if it just works this way by default, or if your system doesn't go into standby until the lid is completely closed.

    Thanks.

Isnt that a setting in Windows? Somewhere you set the "action" when the lid is closed. I have mine set to do nothing as I am on XP and would rather just leave it on or shut it down.

Yes, the setting is under power options in control panel on XP, and I have mine set to standby. But the issue is that it goes into standby before the lid is *completely* closed. In other words, if I start closing my lid, when it gets to about 1 inch away from being closed, my system will go into standby. I just want to know if this is by design, or if something is not right with my laptop.

I think both my E4200 and E6400 do whatever the "lid close" action is at that point.

By "at that point" do you mean when the lid is ~1 inch away from being closed, but *not* fully closed?

Yes. Not totally closed it will go into whatever you have defined for the "lid close" action.

100% normal. Mvalpreda can't be more correct than this.
This is the also default behavior for Windows on laptops. It's in the power option which can be found in the Control Panel.
