I just want to make sure that (before buying) the bezel will fit on any burner that I transfer it to.

Then you're SOL. There aren't any Slot Loading BD-ROM or BD-RW 9.5mm drives. Your only options are to use the bezel the drive comes with or to source the M6600 tray loading bezel.

Thanks guys. I have one more question. All 4 core temps on my replacement M6600 are reaching the low 80's when running virus scans with Ad-Aware. Is that cause for concern? My fans are running and everything, but it just seems like this CPU's temps are running higher than on my previous one. I DO NOT want to have to re-paste or call a tech out for service if it isn't necessary, but I am slightly concerned right now. Should I be worried?

I also noticed that my temps will go from like 76 to 64 and then back up again. The ranges just seem very inconsistent.

I'm about to order one of these but have a question:

Am I just as likely to have flickering issues now -- since Dell is aware of the issue -- ordering the "UltraSharp™ FHD(1920x1080) Wide View Anti-Glare LED-backlit with Premium Panel Guarantee"?

Has Dell resolved this with new builds or is it still hit & miss?

Down speedfan --> SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer and post your results.

Have you done any tinkering on the CPU and GPU oc ?

No overclocking whatsoever. I have zero interest in doing anything like that. Everything is exactly hoe Dell shipped it from the factory. Also, I am not sure what results I am supposed to post by downloading Speedfan? My temps when idle are around 45-50 degrees, but I have Core Temp installed so I already knew that.

Are you saying that I should tweak the fan speed with this program? Is there any way to make my fan kick on sooner at lower temperatures instead of letting it wait until things get to 70+ degrees before they start working?

EDIT: I just installed the program. I will play around with it and see what I get.

I have everything set up in the Speedfan program, but the fans do not seem to be kicking on at the temperatures that I specified. Is that part of the program compatible with the Precision M6600? I also noticed that Speedfan is only recognizing 1 fan (for my video card), but both of them are installed and working properly.

Our replacement M6600 was made 3 weeks ago, it's a brand new one with ATI video and LG panel. It flickers on the 3 lowest settings.

Don't tweak the fan. Leave as it is, just monitor if the fan do speed up when the CPU heats up. Could be anything wrong from the bad thermal paste since factory. I had a 8 month old machine and when opened up, found out the CPU thermal paste was like completely dried up.

Just a thought. :) Worries me also if I am suggeting you to get dell in to open it up. It's a 50-50 % that machine will have to be opened up 3-6 more times and trial an error replacing random parts from dell then you will end up with a machine full of refurbished parts to get it to work finally.

Just simple battery problem. DO NOT BUY DELL! - Clip 1 - Introduction to the Pain - YouTube (mind the language)

I should have recorded my own experience when I had 2 CPU, 2 GPU, 2Mobo and 1 LCD changed on one machine in 3 months. Same like you, no overclocking, full air-con running always. Super careful, machine squeky clean always.

With this new WUR, i have got a custom made server fans beside the machine with the docking on. Running at 38'c CPU, the outside temp in Malaysia is Humid and Hot.
