But that was the point of the V13/V130, it was thin. Other than that its pretty normal.

Well the weight hasn't gone up much, my Latitude 13 is 3.36 pounds, but the thickness has gone up to near netbook thinness, and .61 to .83 is a 36% increase in thickness. The problem is yes it now has a better 6 cell, but the CPU power draw has went up so it will have just as poor battery life as my Latitude 13.

And the big plus points of the V13/V130 were Thin, Quiet/Cool, Good design, and non chicklet keyboard. Also i am guessing the thickness quoted does not include the battery as the V13 here-

    and V131 here-

If you compare the height of the main body of the V131, looks the same as the overall height of the V13 (comparing the gaps between the usb/network ports and the overall height)

The fact that a network port will fit on the side, and would not on the the V13/V130.

The only advantage i can see is the removable battery, everything else has been compromised (Size, Weight, Usability and Design), possibly even the heat/noise levels at the expense of newer processors.

This just doesn't make sense - Dell's Japanese site says that it is a 15.6 inch model with a dedicated VGA!!!

The new version is ugly as a space spider-monkey's butt. I want the old Vostro back!
