    MannyA and moogleassassin,

    Thanks for the tips. Great article on the Intel drive.

    As far as imaging, it won't be necessary. I have XP x64 on my 64 GB drive, but I'm installing Win7 on the Intel.

    Well, it looks like have messed up. I installed Win7 on my new Intel drive. It was setup as the E: drive. But when I boot Win7, it still shows as the E: drive. I wanted it to show as the C: drive. So, it looks like I have to reformat and reinstall (I guess with the older drive disconnected) so it will assign it the C letter. My question is: Should I use something like HDDErase to do a secure erase to get rid of everything before I reinstall Win7?

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks.

    I just received my M6500 after waiting patiently for 2 months!
    It's a fantastic machine, and i'm very pleased with it, but there's one thing i'm wondering. I got the 64GB samsung pm800 SSD, and i'm wondering if this drive supports TRIM? If so, what can i expect in increased performance? The reason i ask is because only after a couple of days of use, my HD WEI score went from 7.3 to 6.0! Is this normal? I haven't even used 50% of the 64GB yet. Theres an overview over at the dell forum about which drives support TRIM, but i cant find the info about my drive anywhere. My invoice from dell just says 64GBSSD, and PC wizard 2010 shows Samsung SSD PM800 TH. Hope you guys can help me out.

    Anyone has had problems with their touchpad? I still hadn't found a way to reproduce it reliably, but for whatever reason, when this happens, I move the cursor and it stops at the middle of the touchpad, and sometimes the middle of the touchpad allows me to scroll. It appears as if the offset of the side scrolling area was moved to the middle.

    I've tried disabling single and multi finger gestures, but it doesn't seem to be working...has anyone else had this problem?

    Regards,
    Pablo

    There's an option to choose if you want a big - normal - or narrow active surface area on the touchpad with the touchpad software. Not sure if this will fix your problem, but it might be worth a try :)

    It doesn't seem to be a problem with a setting. It starts acting and stays that way until I reboot. Could there be a hardware problem that causes this?

    @mhatay

    Demand that your dell rep compensates you for the additional time it takes for you to get your system. I really pushed my sales rep, and i got a $600 discount in total due to pushed delivery date. It's not our problem that dell sells hardware that has not even been produced. Every week your hardware loses value, and it's only fair that dell compensate for this.
