Anyone with the new system and USB3 get the webcam working?
I cant get it to work, shows up in device manager but applications like skype says there is a problem and windows7 printers and drivers does not show it.

Is there some software or driver needed for the new cam?

Ok, the next thing I would do is go to device manager, right click on the USB 3 device, and select uninstall. If you have the option to delete the drivers, don't. Restart the computer and allow the drivers to reinstall themselves. Please let us know what happens. :)

Tony, I went with m7740 - there was a big (and unjustified IMO) price differential for the non-Covet between the two cards in the UK at product launch, so it was a no-brainer for me. Graphic related performance on CS4 seems good - better than my desktop's Nvidia (albeit an older card) - and I can 'see' a number of the accelerations working on CS4 although I've not benchmarked anything. Especially given that you have the desktop for heavy duty work, I don't think you'd be disappointed with the M7740. I haven't used the machine for any video work yet, although I got the impression from reading elsewhere that support for the Nvidia was more mature for video processing in a number of products.

I had the same experience (and reaction) as Keith.

I had 18 nits at 0%, 121 nits at 33%, 140 nits calibration target came in at 39% and 100% brightness gave me the advertised 300 nits (actually 302). I'm happy with 33% in a domestic environment, use 50% in a much brighter office and settled on 39% for critical stuff - which matches my other screens nicely which are calibrated for the 140 nit semi-standard. The calibration performed at 33% (or at 39%) holds very well at all brightnesses on the native NTSC colour space mode selection. I have A02 bios, the ATI card with the A01 driver, Samsung RGBLED and am using Spyder 3 for calibration.

I just set up Skype and had a video conference. My system has USB 3 though not sure where I need to check for it's being enabled currently. My camera shows in webcam central on the right side of the taskbar.

Paul....I'm curious where you see ntsc color space selection. I only note a lot of profiles in WCS and simply don't use them at all or any nvidia control. I load my profile is all in color management as a default profile. There may be a setup I am missing.
