    Hi SvenC,

Type the name of the Program you want to Run, in the Start menu search box.
Then press: Ctrl + Shift + Enter

    I hope this helps,

    Hi SvenC,

To run a program under a different user account, you can use the Runas
Command. Runas no longer appears on the shourtcut menus for programs,
as it did in Windows XP. But you can still use it from the Command Prompt
Window or a shortcut. The syntax is

    runas /User:username programname

After you issue the command or activate the shortcut, you'll be prompted to
enter the password for the specified user account. For security reasons, you
cannot save the password with the shortcut.

    Note:

That the Runas command does not work with Microsoft Management Console
    (MMC) snap-ins...

    Hope this helps,

Can anyone tell me if Dell is working on fixing the driver issues? IE Mouse pad, fingerprint scanner, etc.

    Hi YBcold,

You will have to be more specific than that. What drivers do you have, and what are the version numbers…

And what is the problem, give details...

Go into Device Manager and tell us what it says under hardware ID: if it's an LG, it will have LG in the nomenclature, Samsung will have SEC in it I think.

I'm on my linux machine, Vostro, right now and can't check it exactly..

Yes, I know that one. But I wanted a time saver by using the menu key and using the runas command is quite a lengthy "shortcut" :) And in addition the program will not run with admin privileges even if the given user is a local admin. UAC still applies here.

But again, thanks for the ctrl+shift+return thing.

    Hi SvenC,

I here you that it is lengthily, I just thought I would throw that in just
In case. I haven't found a way around the UAC or saving the password

I like the ctrl + shift + enter shourtcut as well... :)

    Glad to help,
