First full page ad production on the rgb led as shown in the photo below. This using my 6k profile. I had to figure out how to get Illustrator CS3 from crashing on a photo replace and needed open the program in XPSP3 Compatibility mode, then all was good. Anyway....Laptop will work great. The screen is crisp as could be and colors matches my Eizo well (though not in this photo:eek:). I won't have any qualms doing production on the road.

I'm looking at getting a M6500, a question about video cards though. I understand all the cards would handle gaming, and I'm just curious if the FX 3800 is worth the power consumption/heat/price over the ATI M7740. I prefer to game at native resolution and I'll be getting the 1920x1200 screen. Thanks!

    Hi sattaya,

It's not heat, they haven't made 4GB sticks in 1600MHz yet...

    Soon I hope...

    Hi sattaya,

If you have limited funds, I would put your money in the CPU and graphic card.
You can all ways upgrade your RAM, but not your CPU or graphic card.

920xm, FX 3800M, and 1-SSD for your OS & 1-HDD for your Data, you can upgrade your HDD to an SSD later on

And 8GB of RAM @ 1333MHz to start with.

    Just my 2 cents...

Anyone know which file I need for the pointer stick driver?

Those who care, I played Badlands at 1920x1080 at max settings and the m6500 did quite well. I just started the game (killed 9 toe), so I don't know if it'll lag the more I get into it.

So mannyA, what exactly means "limited" funds ? :D ;)
Especially in the context of this kind of laptops?

Personally, I don't think so since my ATI M7740 runs faster than my Nvidia GTX 260M on my Alienware M15x and I already consider my M15x to be really good when it comes to gaming (Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 running at 30FPS smoothly at full resolution for example).

I have managed to calibrate it out, but anyone know WHY the default sRGB profile is set up this way? While the MBP isn't great either in relation to a calibrated desktop screen, but I'd say it's quite a bit closer as a default.
