What is the battery life on the v13 w/ the su7300 with wifi on and just continously web browsing until it hibernates beginning at 100%?

There really is no way. Originally the description of the HDD on my L13 was a 160 GB Scorpio Blue (WD1600BEVT) but when it shipped it ended up being a Toshiba 160 GB 5400 rpm.

All depends on the brightness but I can eek out about ~3-3.5 hours on non-Flash heavy sites.

Thanks, that's what I pretty much figured out, it's a crapshoot. I checked my older orders over a year ago and it listed the part# with mfg code. My current V13 still has no mfg part# or description.

Hmm, 2-3 hours. If you're using wifi, then you're near an outlet. Unless of course you're stalking your ex and sitting in your car outside her apartment complex. No outlet there. Wait, you can get a cigarette lighter AC adapter. Bingo.

Hehe my order got pushed backed from 5/2 to 5/9. I'm not cancelling Dell. I can wait, it was your mistake. :)

The Vostro V13 has been replaced by the V130. The V13 been removed from the Dell website. My V13 should ship in the next couple of days, it's now in delivery prep and they upgraded me to next business day shipping because they were waiting for a fresh supply of AC adapters.

I ordered mine on the 27th...I was on the fence because I don't really need a new laptop, but at 349 I just couldn't pass it up. I've always loved the design, but couldn't justify the price...

I'm showing a expected ship date of 5/12 with delivery around 5/17. I was both happy and nervous to see that they finally ran out of these. Happy that I did pull the trigger when I did. But nervous that they may have oversold a bit and cancel my order. Fingers crossed I get it on time, or even earlier... I'm also hoping the 7200 rpm hdd doesn't drive me too crazy, otherwise I might start pricing SSDs...

You may want to start looking for an SSD because I returned one with the 320 7200RPM drive. It ran hot and had lots of vibration. I recently ordered one with the 500GB 7200RPM because someone mentioned it runs cooler and has very little vibration.

You'll dig this laptop a lot, it's an awesome little laptop at $500-600. Btw you'll definitely get it. Mine was delayed because a shortage of 65W AC adapters. It's finished and it should ship within 1-2 days.

edit: My V13 now shows shipped, awaiting tracking#.

    Lucky! :)

I've got a spare 5400 SATA drive I can throw in it for a bit if the vibration is too bad, but I think I'll start investigating SSD's :)

I have another V13 with a Celeron CPU and a 250GB 5400RPM drive and heat is almost non-existent as well as vibration. I'd go the 5400 RPM route if you have a spare drive.
