A motherboard will probably exceed £150-£200 very easily. Here in the US a refurbed motherboard on Ebay sells for $180 and I bought my laptop for $350. ;)

Ah ok, seems to be worth it then! Its getting quite close to the X220 (i3, 2gb Ram, 320Gb HDD inc 3 year warranty) for £800ish.

The X220 is the far better choice IMO. :)

The X220 is the far SUPERIOR kit between the two, it isn't even close. Although, the Vostro V line looks and feels really nice as it's an aluminum outer case but that's where it ends. :)

Lenovo ThinkPad X220 review -- Engadget

    Review:
"Plain and simple, the four pound system requires no performance, durability, or endurance sacrifices, and that's not something we can say very often when it comes to the many ultraportables out there. Sure, there are flashier looking options out there (Apple's MacBook Air and ASUS' U36J come to mind), but hey, good luck getting those to run for 15 hours on a single charge."

Yeah, the X220 was my first choice, then i was going to save some £££ and looked at the V130. Its only going to be used for internet/MS Office and i very rarely spend more than 3 hours away from the plug.
Its a big price to pay for look/feel/build and quiet/cool running. (athough the X220 is pretty good on most of those)

I don't know how the pricing is in UK (crazy VAT) but a base x220i can be had as little as 600-700 USD. Make sure if you buy an x220 that you get the "Premium Panel" as that is the Lenovo designation for the IPS screen (only a 40-50 dollar upgrade) and it is a fantastic panel (I got to see an x220i/x220 in person). Do also realize the x220 will only accept 7mm 2.5" drives (aka single platter mechanical drive or specialized 9.5mm SSDs which can remove spacers to be 7mm).

Yes, i have specced up an X220, we dont get the X220i over here. They start at £750ish for the base i3 with W7home. Adding the IPS screen, W7Pro takes it up to around £850. Then add another £260 odd for the SSD option, or £160 to do it myself.
I really like the idea of the SSD as i have one at work and programs open instantly (although with Full Voltage i5, 8Gb Ram etc).

Question guys. I manually installed the webcam that did not come with the Latitude 13. It works great. Even under the Mac OSX 86 setup which is sweet (no graphic card usage though).

My question is this. Does anyone have a link to the website for the camera software or drivers? I cant seem to get the camera working on Windows 7 x68version.
