It says the Vostro 1400 has two headphone jacks when you do the side by side cmoparison, so i'm not sure.

Anyone know how to get Vista Premium on the 1400? Thanks~

Link to the side-by-side comparison, please?
When I talked to a rep they said it was impossible. Others I hear call a rep and ask for a 29 dollar upgrade to Home Premium. Mainly, Vostro is a business-class notebook, so I wasn't expecting it in the first place. The only advantage to Home Premium is the BS aero interface and the Media Center.

Yeah, I heard you could call in and get it for $29. I like media center and the interface is a nice touch. It also increases its resale value imo.

    * if the whole link doesnt show up just click the "ports" tab above the configurations to see.

At the bottom you will see there is a check mark for the 1400 for the dual jacks. The 1500 does not have the feature.

The manual doesnt show the IR port at all. But you do have an IR port in the 1500. See the attached pic port no 3 is Consumer IR.
