Hm, if there's no IR port when I get it then I might call a Dell rep to get compensation :) But you may be right, it might just be hidden, but they should have labeled it so the user would know where it is.

So how come there's no reviews to read anywhere ? didn't they send some to the review sites to pre-review it?

I just placed an order at DELL Sweden. A Vostro 1400 with 1.8GHz, 160 GB HD, 1440x900 screen, Bluetooth, 2GB RAM, webcam etc. Translated to USD it's well over $1900! I do need a SE keyboard and have to face the fact that everything is damn expensive here. Let's see what shipping date I get.

Update: ordered today, July 16, and ETA is on or before August 3. Let the wait begin...

Projected delivery August 2nd. Total with a $100 discount coupon $888. Nowhere is a power supply mentioned in the documentation, so that's making me nervous ... I mean, you CAN'T ship a notebook without a standard power adapter included, CAN YOU???

There has always been a noticeable difference between integrated(x3100 -- less battery usage) and discrete graphics cards(8400m -- more battery usage).

Hahaha, you are really paranoid. If it doesn't come with an AC adapter, just about everyone would kill Dell, so I wouldn't be worried about that. Hopefully you got a 9-cell battery with the 8600m.
