    I've been reading several articles that says DX10 might be possible on XP after all because of all the problems ATi and nVidia are having with Vista drivers.

    whether theres dx10 is not really important, both 8400M GS and 8600M GT stinks at DX10.

    I think this is the first time I've seen "Pre-Production" as a status on Dell's site. I wonder if they are still waiting on the parts??

    I heard from Customer Care yesterday that all 15.4" monitors were on backorder. That combined with the deal on the 1400 prompted to cancel the 1500 and order a 1400. Currently, both my My Account page and the Order Status page showed that the system is in production. I also called the 800 status number, and it says it's in the build stage.

    also, does anyone else like the old black inspiron styling of the vostro 1000. i like it more than the 1500

    wtf @ 15.4's being backordered. That's ridiculous. Perhaps I should just get a 1400 then :/.

    wow i canceled my 1500 because i actually got a better deal on the 1400...maybe ill get it before all those 1500's?
