Lower the resolution unless you want to look at the screen with a lupe.

So does any one know if there's a way to get that refund done now that is the weekend? I keep getting, we're closed, messages. blah. Their "2 hour response emails" also are apparently only open on weekdays too? WTF, the website said 24x7.

Really? Hm, I'm designer and I need much space.
I was looking for notebook with good graphics and high resolution...

WSXGA+ is "unviewble"? Anyone have WSXGA+ in 15.4"? Hm.

Didn't really pay attention to Vista during the build. Because I assumed I would be clean installing XP when I get the machine. Now I am reading about dual booting - and must admit that I am intrigued about have lava lamps and speedometers on my desktop....

Should I upgrade my Vista to future proof the possibility that I'll want to use it? Home basic sucks right?

Would a clean XP install result in the loss of dell assistant and media direct? Also, do I lose DX10?

Dual booting sounds complicated in the guides... Is it? Also, is it trickier since dell doesn't include hardcopies of the OS?

rangor - I sweated over the screen for a long time. I am a designer too. I was reading one of the "Too Shiny" vs. "Not To Shiny" when someone chimed in.. "It's definately not to shiny, unless you are sitting looking at a black screen all day, which is when it's the worst"

I thought- wait a minute? I do that all day long!!, because I run autocad. result - I went with fewer dpi to prevent looking at my t-shirt all day in the screen.

I hope I will be happy with 1280. I expect to be very happy about Matte finish.

Watch the marketing videos on Direct2Dell - I am weary that the latest Truelife may be way too shiny...

    Anyone have thoughts?

    Just ordered yesterday

    Intel Core 2 Duo T7300, 2.0GHz, 800Mhz FSB, 4M L2 Cache
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD
    2GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 DIMM
    256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
    120G 5400RPM
    Genuine Windows XP Professional, SP2
    Intel 3945 WLAN (802.11a/g)
    8X DVD+/-RW

Only $1249+Tax CAD. There was a misprint in the flyer that had this in it with XP Pro but when i went to configure it with the evalue code it only had vista. After being on the phone with a rep for close to an hour i got this build with XP Pro

    What about Vostro's warranty?

It says hardware support, but it doesn't say anything about picking up and returning it :/
