Hi Intoxicate and happy new year to all of you,

just have a look on the pics posted by janik_dk here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=4222110&postcount=780 and http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=4205754&postcount=742.
For me it is difficult to take some reasonable shots as I only have a VGA-cam in my smartphone. So I would have to organize a better camera first. But if you tell me, what conditions you are interested in, I will try to manage it but it may take some days.
Note that the reflections are only noticable and a bit distracting for sure in black areas on the screen. With a non-black background the colours are bright and the reflections are gone (unless you have a light bulb directly shining on the screen).

Oh great. You are right. It is quite strange though, as an installation from the same Vista-DVD on another PC the hibernate-mode has been available immediately without modification.

Does anyone has the same system-error-event with the smartcard-reader, I also asked for? This event with ID 610 also comes up when restoring from standby. I have forgotten to say that I run Vista x64 SP1.

The 2ccfl screen is 350nits and the RGBLED only 300.

hey where did you get the table from?

i could have sworn the technical sheet my rep gave me said 450nits for the RGBLED and 400 for the 2ccfl

reason i remember is because i know the W700's wuxga screen is 400 nits and i remember thinking that the dell's screens are both better

400 nits? The Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" LCD w/ an S-PVA is 400 candelas, I highly doubt these laptops are as well. My screen is pretty bright though, could be close.

My Precision M60,M70,M65's were similar at max brightness to a dell economy 22" monitor at lowest brightness, these new M4400 screens have great brightness for notebooks imo.

Ultrasharp has better viewing angles only as far as I know, many non-ultrsharp monitors have had higher nit ratings than the US option's....eg.vostro 1500 WXGA+ v WSXGA.

@I♥RAM....are you missing your M4400 yet?

Oh it's not gone yet, the guy who wanted it bailed out. So I got my bro's to sell it on eBay, with 3 hours left:

    http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=MyeBayNextSummary&ssPageName=STRK:MESW:ALLX

And I just ordered my i7 920 processor, I dont think I'm gonna be missing the M4400 when I overclock it to 4GHz :D, I'm actually getting my moneys worth with a desktop and no stupid overheating problems and retarded BIOS updates.
