On my matted M6400 I made the mistake of using this screen cleaner as it left streaks on my screen. The streaks were so bad they made LCD's nice blacks a lighter shade! Then I tried a multi-purpose streakless glass cleaner, but it left streaks too. The fix was to use water with an absorbent microfiber cloth.

Thanks for all the screen cleaning tips and comments.
Looks like I'll be going with the simple water, clean-soft-cloth combo.
(In the past I've used a screen screener solution and it left excessive residue.)

Looking to buy a very large external LCD monitor (30" or bigger).
    Is 2560 x 1600 the max resolution for the FX 3600M ?
    Are there 2560 x 1600 monitors bigger than 30" ?

Also looking to buy high end RAID 0, 4TB external eSATA.
My Book Studio Edition II, 4TB, RAID 0, USB, FireWire 400, FireWire 800 and eSATA ($650).

Is the Belkin N1 still the leader for wireless range?

Any suggestions/comments on the above, much appreciated.

So I had some time today to slipsteam the SATA drivers, MS hotfixes and IE7 into a Windows XP Install disk.

It took longer to build the iso than it did to install it on the M6400. Less than 15 minutes total

Now I have to spend half the day installing drivers & programs before creating an image :(

Can't you just use AnyDVD? Then you can use any non-WHQL driver and it should unprotect the content in the background. At least that's what it's suppose to do. So it should solve the WHQL issue.

Well worth the money in my opinion.

    Tried Windows 7 yet?

I use it for both work and play. Currently using build 7201. Only issue is I can't get bluetooth keyboard to work.

I tried XP x64 and had several issues with drivers and games stuttering etc.

I remember when Windows ME came out. Clean install, no updates and the thing was rock solid - as soon as you clicked that update button, it was like hitting "self destruct"

Which BT keyboard? Did you try manually installing the BT drivers? My mouse wasn't fully functional at first either but i ran the update in compatibility mode and as adminstrator...after that it all worked.

    I have a problem...

When I close the lid and open it again, the screen stays black. The only way I can back to normal is to reboot it.

How am I able to fix it?

    Useful information:

    OS: Windows XP 32 Bit SP3 w/ IE 7 & updates
    Dell Drivers Installed
    M6400 Covet

Which drivers do you suggest I try?

If I right click on something, I can run as administrator, or, in compatibility mode. How do I do both?
