Just about to go for a Covet. Dell messed up an order of mine, and failed to fix the problem for months, so am being offered a machine for £2473. It seems a good deal as the machine costs £29xx on the website. Anyone able to confirm?

    Covet:- 4gb, 200gb HD, T9600, RGB, 3700m.

Incidentally, what are the benefits of the CCFL vs RGB LED, and is it worth the cash difference?

    Thanks!

From what I understand, and I'm no expert, with the RGB LED you get 100% of the Adobe color spectrum vs. about 40% with the CCFL. Plus you get a lower power draw from the screen, which means slightly longer battery life.

It might be worth the cash difference if you work with colors, graphics, video, or print materials. But ultimately only you can decide if it's really worth it, given that if you do those things, most people will be viewing your work on non-RGB LED screens anyway. At least for now anyway.

    Personally, I went for it.
