My Covet starts up in only 35 seconds, and hasn't had any stability issues. I would say there's definitely something wrong with yours.

Dang! I'm only running version 7.15.11.7626 and it is running flawlessly. Now I'm afraid to upgrade it to the newer version. I'm not a gamer, animation/movie maker, or CAD designer either (just a programmer), so maybe I don't need the bleeding edge driver.

Well I've tried 7653 & 7692, nothing's changed, so no big deal either way since Mudbox still crashes the same.

The cinebench openGL test is ridiculous. I won't use it. I get with my M6400 (FX 3700) the same score as with my M4400 (FX 770). The M6400 has 4 times more shaders!!

    More than 8GB ???

Has anybody able to get more than 8GB working on the M6400. I have 12GB of memory, but can not get both Slots A&B and C&D working at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Tim

    Make sure slots A & C match and slots B & D match.

For example, if you put 4GB in both A & B, and 2 GB in C & D, it will not work (per the manual)

    Put 4GB DIMMs in A and C. Put 2GB DIMMs in B and D

    ToadDodger,

Thanks, I will give that a try. That is strange though, I thought they would have pair it by the access panel.

I just checked the online HTML manual. It indicates A&D and B&C. Guess I will have to try.
