Precision M6600 IPS Display DIY Upgrade/Conversion Thread

    If I have one m6700 with the IPS screen and one with the standard screen, and I wanted to switch the 2, how would this be done?
    Can I simply remove the LCD/Lid from one and place it on the other and reconnect?
    I have done this with M6500's but not with IPS screens

    You can just switch the whole display assembly as in the whole lid, just note the different connector on the motherboard..

    It is just plugged into the other spot?

    Yes. The 2 connector are next to each other, same in m6700 i believe. On m6600, there print labeled eDp and LVDS.

    isnot m6600 and m6700 has different hingles?
