What OS? Do you have bluetooth? What wifi card?

I paid a bit more, but I also have 4GB RAM and 500GB hard drive, 7200RPM as well. It is super fast, love it. I also love the keyboard, I enjoy typing on it.

I believe it came with Vista Home Basic, no bluetooth, and the default Dell wireless card.

    • Has anyone applied the "Optional" Intel Display & Realtek Network driver updates (see details below) from the Windows Update site?
    • If so have you noticed any improvements\changes?
    • Also still haven't found out how to verify that my display is really LED as opposed to CCFL backlit - anyone found out how to do this yet?

    WINDOWS UPDATE "OPTIONAL" UPDATES:
Intel Corporation - Display - Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Anyone else feel the Touchpad is a bit jerky?
I've only been using the 1220 for 1wk but in comparison to my Inspiron 700m the 1220's Touchpad\pointer response just feel as smooth & accurate. I'm experimenting with different speed and touch sensitivity settings but its still not as good.

Perhaps its my finger not sliding easily so I might apply some wax type polish to the surface and see if that helps.

Anyone else feel their touchpad is not as smooth as it could be?

I can only compare with my wife's HP. I too did not like the 1220 touch pad. I, like you, then adjusted the settings and I seem to get along okay. My problem is that I don't use it enough to get used to it. Perhaps practice makes perfect.

Does anyone have the Intel Wifi/WiMax card, more specfically the Intel 5150? I have been having problems with it, more so being able to connect to the wireless router, but not being able to get on the web. I have a suspision that it is my FIOS router. But if anyone could give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it.

Even though it says it is for a 10.2 - I have this case and my Vostro 1220 fits inside like a glove (battery end first, very important!)
