no....don't see that....I'd call DELL about it...keyboard fully seated? In the meantime I'd prolly throw a thin felt cloth over the keyboard when packing....that's what I would do...do you have the led or truelife?

Unless your going to use the M11X GPU, I can't see why you would want to use a far slower cpu for video editing and VM's.

You are also losing a huge amount of screen size going from 12.1" 16:10 to a 11.6" 16:9 aspect...see below.
It is also pretty much the same size notebook also except for the M11X being heavier with no built in optical drive and the way smaller screen.

    Another mini game report:

(Vostro 1220 specs below - this system is a BEAST)

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Game is playable at low settings, 1024x768 (15-20 FPS)
Game is very playable at low settings, 800x600 (20+ FPS)

I rest my case. If Dell would release a Precision 12" with dedicated graphics and an internal CD drive, it would destroy games. As it is, I can seriously consider this a mini-gaming machine (Total War, Call of Duty, etc all run on it quite comfortably)

Damn that's insane with the graphics card it has i can't believe it, still in decision mode here lol. I would like to see a 12 inch precision monster with a dedicated gpu like the M11x now thats a really true mobile workstation! Yes with a freaking dvd drive.

I'm getting ready to launch Sins of a Solar Empire right now on this little vostro.....actually after seeing what this can do, I might just get the Precision m2500 when it comes out for my second laptop....I have cancelled my m6500 because usb 3.0 is close to being standard in them.

Hey 1220 users! Anyone out there using an adapter to power the 1220 from your car battery? If so let me know model and cost. Dell has one they are recommending for $90 which seems a bit costly to me (it is combo kind of deal that will work with AC or DC). Any help appreciated!

I use a 40 dollar power inverter from Best Buy...100 watts....then plug the brick into that....

Hey, never thought of that! I do see refurb Dell branded ones (12 v kit) for 30 bucks on ebay. That might also work.
    Thanks!

thing I like about using power inverter is it works nicely for cell chargers and other things...save money buying extra car adapters for things...

Now I'd probaby get a higher wattage one maybe, but this has worked pretty darn good !
