I can still download the 13.0.0.107 driver. The connection utility software thing however is said to be 13.0.0.0 but when you want to download it tells you its got the 13.0.0.107 drivers included.

Tried uninstalling every single bit of the wifi drivers yesterday, the installing 13.0.0.107 again. It helped my system to recognise my wifi card again, but I still don't get any connections. Trying to connect to a hidden network I get an "unexpected error".

Will make another attempt to downgrade now.

    edit:
    *failed*
It just looks as if I were stuck with those crappy, not working drivers and my cable until intel fixes something. Even when uninstalling 13.0.0.107 and then trying older drivers (even the Dell ones) I dont get any connections. Great.

I'd love to help, but you'll have to forgive me for not wanting to install something that could render my wireless card useless. I have no need for any of the mywifi functionality anyway. Sorry guys.

it doesn't render your card useless. you just have to uninstall and reinstall the ones from dell's site or the older one's on intel's site.

@MoSx -- uninstall the program Intel ProSET, and the restart. when you come back up, install the older version. if for some reason you need the older version (if it isn't on intel's site anymore, I can attach it.)

I already tried that several times... However, I'd be glad if you could provide me the drivers youre using, maybe that would finally help me.

I am starting to suspect that Microsoft listens and releases hidden updates via Windows updates which get secretly installed [IMG]

Errr... I honestly doubt that. :D
However, if it really IMPROVED my system, why not?

    btt:
I think the problem might have to do something with the Intel ProSet Utility(ies). In order to downgrade I only tried reinstalling older drivers, but not the whole set of utilities. No way to get rid of that "unexpexted error"/ no connections problem.
When I however tried downgrading using the Vista64 utilities&driver (kudos to veritas) it finally worked. So my best guess is that the error must be caused by one the utilities, not by the driver itself.

that is good info to have. I am going to try leaving alone the proset version at 12.4.3.9 and installing the 13.x drivers, see if it restores mywifi capability. glad i could help, MoSx
